Brittany McClanahan

Brittany McClanahan, 22, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015.

She was born June 23, 1993, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Scott McClanahan and Elizabeth Scott.

Survivors include her son, Malakhi Pearson, and his father, Monteal Pearson; her mother, Elizabeth Scott; her father, Scott McClanahan; five siblings, Amber, Brianna, Hank, Sydney and Victoria; grandparents; a niece; aunts; uncles; and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Curtis True officiating. Interment will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
