CAIRO, Ill. -- Funeral service for Brian Patrick Garner of Cairo will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo. Dr. Larry L. Potts will officiate, with burial in Spencer Heights Cemetery at Mounds.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today. Cairo Elks Lodge 651 will have a service at 7:30.

Garner, 21, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 1996, in a car accident in Ballard County, Ky.

He was born June 23, 1975, in Cairo, son of Willie and Kimberly Mohundro Garner Jr.

Garner was a member of Cairo Elks.

Survivors include his parents of Cairo; maternal grandmother, Lucille Mohundro of Cairo; and paternal grandparents, Willie and Cebe Garner Sr. of Wickliffe, Ky.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather.
