Bret Christopher Bonney, 55, of Ballwin, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, as a result of a motorcycle accident in Valley Park, Mo. He was born Feb. 22, 1958, in St. Louis to Richard H. and Joyce Long Bonney. Bret was a 1976 graduate of Fredericktown High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1981...

Bret Christopher Bonney, 55, of Ballwin, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, as a result of a motorcycle accident in Valley Park, Mo.

He was born Feb. 22, 1958, in St. Louis to Richard H. and Joyce Long Bonney.

Bret was a 1976 graduate of Fredericktown High School. He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1981.

Bret was a lover of life and lived it to the fullest! He had a passion for hunting, motorcycle riding, listening to music and attending concerts. He was a proud member of the IBEW Local No. 1 and the Kirkwood Hogs.

Loving survivors include his fiancee, Kathleen M. Pack of Ballwin; four children, Brandi Bonney and Mandi (Kirk) Graham, all of Texas, James Bonney and Donna Joyce, both of Missouri; his father, Richard H. (Rachel) Bonney of Festus, Mo.; ten grandchildren; five siblings, Sherri (Tom) Weakley of Jackson, Tracy Bonney of Paducah, Ky., Tina Bonney and fiance Mike Seabaugh of Shawneetown, Mo., Cindy Bonney of Cape Girardeau and Wendy Anderson of Jackson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Long; and a brother, Richard O. "Richie" Bonney.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home, 777 Oakwood Drive, in Fenton, Mo.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Patriot Guard will escort the procession to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, where full military honors will be observed.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
