Brenda K. Strop, 73, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, at her home.

She was born Oct. 20, 1945, in Chaffee, Missouri, the daughter of the late Raymond and Zella Foster Moore. She and Doyle Strop were married in Cape Girardeau. He passed away June 3, 2007.

Brenda owned and operated Images Plus Salon for 30 years. Many of her clients she had for up to 40 years became her greatest friends.

Brenda's greatest pleasure came from being able to spend time with her grandchildren, who lived far away. So between visits with them, she had great-nieces and -nephews to enjoy.

Loving survivors include three children, sons Daryn (Melanie) Strop of Monument, Colorado, and Deric (Seonok) Strop of Cape Girardeau and a daughter Sandee (Joey) Burns of Loganville, Georgia; six grandchildren, Jessica and Taylor Burns and Gabriel, Jacob, Tamin and Isabella Strop.

Also surviving are three sisters, Marcella Westrich of Chaffee, Peggy Moore of Cape Girardeau and Kathleen Lee of Perryville, Missouri; a brother, Robert Moore of Chicago; and a very special sister-in-law, Phyllis Wiedifeld of Cape Girardeau.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Local arrangements were by McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

On-line condolence messages may be sent to the family by visiting www.mccombsfuneralhome.com.
