Brenda A. Stanfield, 61, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 5, 1939, in Bell City, Mo., daughter of Paul and Estelle Garner Jennings. She and J.W. Stanfield were married Sept. 27, 1958, in Oran, Mo.
Stanfield graduated from Bell City High School in 1956. She was an investigative assistant for the Division of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms for 13 years. Prior to working for the ATF, she was a secretary for Limbaugh Russell Payne and Howard for 31 years.
She was secretary of the Cape Girardeau Women's Bowling Association for more than 30 years and was second vice president of the Missouri State Women's Bowling Association.
She was a member of the Hooe Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Brian Stanfield of Penfield, N.Y., and Christopher Stanfield of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Kathy Cagle of Little Rock, Ark.; two brothers, Boyd and Larry Jennings, both of Bell City; one sister, Joyce King of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, James and Richard Stanfield, both of Penfield, N.Y.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel. The Revs. Delbert Bishop and Charles Lance will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family for the benefit of the grandchildren's scholarship fund.
