Brenda Schniedermeyer

Brenda K. Schniedermeyer, 50, of Jackson died Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, due to complications from a brain aneurysm.

She was born April 11, 1954, in Jerseyville, Ark., daughter of John and Edna Pence Mooneyhan. She and Paul Schniedermeyer were married Nov. 15, 1986.

Brenda attended high school in Knobel, Ark. She received an associate degree at Forest Park Community College in St. Louis, a degree in social work from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, and a master's degree in social work from St. Louis University

During her early career, Brenda worked at various area daycares. After college she touched many lives through her work at the Community Counseling Center in Cape Girardeau, SEMO Mental Health Center in Farmington, Mo., and most recently the Family Counseling Center in Cape Girardeau.

In addition to spending time with her family Brenda especially enjoyed canning, quilting and reading. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.

Loving survivors include her husband of Jackson; four children, Anthony Giambalvo of Rolla, Mo., Marsha Giambalvo of St. Louis, Shaun Matthew and Roger Schniedermeyer of Jackson; and her mother, Edna Hendrix of McDougal, Ark.

Also surviving are eight siblings and their spouses, Travis and Rose Mooneyhan of Rector, Ark., Lance and Laura Mooneyhan of Rector, Dennis Mooneyhan of Knobel, David and Rosalie Mooneyhan of Pollard, Ark., Roger and Rosemary Mooneyhan of McDougal, Raymond Mooneyhan of McDougal, Carol Calhoun of Rector and Sharon Lyles of Bangor, Mich.; several nieces and nephews and many caring friends.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The funeral will be at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Monsignor Edward Eftink officiating. Visitation will conclude at 9 p.m.

Memorials may take the form of checks payable to the Child Abuse and Neglect Council (check memo should indicate "for the Adoption Support Group of Cape Girardeau County") or the Adoption Exchange (Missouri Office).
