Brenda Martin

Brenda Sue Martin, 55, of Jackson died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born March 29, 1960, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Alfred H. and Helen V. Presson Martin. She graduated from Kelly High School.

Brenda was a bookkeeper for Tri-State Water Power & Air in Cape Girardeau. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her two daughters, Christina A. (Chris) Kolze of Jackson and Elizabeth A. (Ryan Pekios) Heise of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren, Evan C. Kolze, Shelby E. Kolze and expecting a grandson in April; three brothers, Don L. (Denise) Martin of Charleston, Missouri, Mike G. (Suzanna) Martin of Tyler, Texas, and Jerry W. (Mary) Martin of Bertrand, Missouri; best friend and partner Ron Poslosky of St. Louis; and longtime companion Bailey.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.

Burial will be at Dogwood Cemetery in East Prairie, Missouri.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
