Bonnie Jean Bradshaw, 77, of Delta passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri. Bonnie Jean Bradshaw, 77, of Delta passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Missouri.

She was born Dec. 14, 1940, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Lester and Mary Edith Morton Groves. Bonnie and Pernell Bradshaw were united in marriage June 7, 1958, at Dupo, Illinois, and he survives of the home.

Bonnie had been the mayor of Delta for two terms. She had been a past Delta schools PTO president for four years. She was a member of Delta First Baptist Church for more than 50 years, where she also had been a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry.

She had worked at Wonder Bread in Cape Girardeau and Thorngate in Chaffee for 10 years. She had also been a department manager at Walmart in Jackson for 15 years.

Survivors include her husband, Pernell Bradshaw; a son, Timothy Wayne (Debra) Bradshaw of Jackson; a daughter, Tamara (Douglas) Simminger of Gordonville; four grandchildren, Renee` Clark, Jessica Bradshaw, Megan Newcomer and Lauren Simminger; and six great-grandchildren, Karissa Clark, Dakota Clark, Mattie Clark, Luke Foltz, Ali Clark and Lane Foltz.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Delta First Baptist Church.

Funeral will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Randy Conn officiating. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Delta First Baptist Church.

Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
