Bonita Stephens

CAIRO, Ill. -- Bonita L. Stephens, 81, of Cairo died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Nov. 6, 1923, in Cairo, daughter of Hallie and Maude Gallegly Brooks. She married Robert Stephens, who died in 1986.

Stephens was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are several cousins, including Craig Worthington of Olive Branch, Ill., and Rodney Worthington of Cairo.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ebenezer Hall Cemetery at Lick Creek, Ill., with the Rev. Kelly Cox officiating.
