MARBLE HILL -- Bollinger County Commissioner Jerry E. Woodfin, 67, of Marble Hill died Sunday, Oct. 10, 1999, at his home.
He had served on the commission for the past 20 years.
Woodfin was born May 22, 1932, near Lutesville, the son of Robert L. and Opal E. Francis Woodfin. He and Dorothy M. Null were married July 8, 1950.
He was a member of the Clubb Creek General Baptist Church and had served as a deacon for more than 45 years. He was also a farmer and a member of the Bollinger County Co-op Board of Directors and a Bollinger County Commissioner.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Rodney Woodfin of Marble Hill; a daughter, Karen Shetley of Marble Hill; two brothers, Eldon Woodfin of Glen Allen and Gail "Woody" Woodfin of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Hazel Garner of Advance and Darlene Kirkpatrick of Lake St. Louis; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Liley Funeral Home at Marble Hill.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel. The Revs. Kenny Cook and Otis Littles will officiate, with burial at Baker Cemetery.
