Bobby West

ANNA, Ill. -- Bobby E. West, 78, of Anna died Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Ill.

He was born Feb. 21, 1929, son of John and Irene Boyer West. He married Shirley Hileman.

West owned and operated West DX and then West Sunoco, had a U-Haul dealership 35 years, and was the representative for AAA Towing Service 30 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lisa Jianakoplos of St. Louis; a son, Brian West of Indianapolis; three sisters, Louise Spring of Wolf Lake, Ill., Lillie Halterman and Wanda Beanland of Anna; a brother, John West of Dyersburg, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to service time Friday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Minor officiating. Burial will be in Casper Cemetery.
