Bobby Joe Rayford, 56, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Oct. 12, 1945, in Maude, Miss., son of John E. and Janie McFarland Rayford. He and Clanteen Brown were married in 1971 in Memphis, Tenn.
Rayford was a concrete finisher.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jennesica Ferguson of Memphis; his mother of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Robbie Rayford of St. Louis, Charles Rayford of Pacific, Mo., and Patrick Rayford of Fulton, Mo.
Also surviving are six sisters, Dorothy Moore, Johnny Bedell and Yvonne Willingham of St. Louis, Bernice Mosley of Ardmore, Okla., Tiny Rayford of Wichita, Kan., Joyce Rayford of Cape Girardeau; three stepsisters, Izola Redmond of Chicago, Leola Twiggs of Cape Girardeau, Ernestine Mack of St. Louis; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at New Bethel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Johnny Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
