COMMERCE -- Funeral service for Bobby Howard Kight of Commerce will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. David Thompson will officiate, with burial in Oakdale Cemetery
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Kight, 52, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1997, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born March 25, 1945, at Delta, son of John U. and Pauline Croy Kight. He and Peggy Joyce Knight were married Aug. 21, 1965, at Oak Ridge.
Kight was a riverboat pilot with West Lake Quarry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a past member of VFW Post 6407 in Scott City, and former member of Arbor General Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark Kight of Commerce; a daughter, Bobbie Jo Kight of Commerce; six brothers, Fred and Stan Kight of Whitewater, Dan and Scott Kight of Jackson, Keith Kight of Leopold, Rick Kight of Scopus; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
