BOBBY KENNEDY

Robert Alan "Bobby" Kennedy, 36, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was injured in a motorcycle accident Friday, Feb. 25, on Highway 177.

He was born July 8, 1963, at Dexter, son of Robert Owen and Betty Short Kennedy. He and Cindy Watkins were married Dec. 22, 1980, in Rison, Ark.

Kennedy was a self-employed carpenter.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Colt Kennedy of the home; a daughter, Kelly Kennedy of the home; father and stepmother, Robert and Charlette Kennedy of Bloomfield; mother and stepfather, Betty and Dennis Sipes of Monticello, Ark.; a brother, Jeffrey Kennedy of Jackson; maternal grandmother, Retha Meroney of Dexter; two stepbrothers, Gary and Barry Sipes of Rison; and a stepsister, Shari Brummitt of Garden City, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents.

Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Randy Alford officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
