SEDGEWICKVILLE, Mo. -- Bobby J. Hahn, 72, of Sedgewickville passed away Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, at his home.
He was born Sept. 21, 1933, at Yount, Mo., son of Harry and Una Seabaugh Hahn. He and Mary I. Hahs were married Dec. 14, 1954, in Bath, Maine.
Bobby attended Wellston and Normandy High Schools near St. Louis. He was inducted into the U.S. Navy Oct. 15, 1951, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged Oct. 11, 1955.
The family moved back to Sedgewickville in 1962. Bobby did over-the-road trucking, most recently for Arkansas Best Freight in Cape Girardeau and Springfield, Ill., retiring in 1990. He also owned and operated H&H Farms and in 1990 established H&H Hauling, a custom lime hauling business.
He had been a member of Sedgewickville Lutheran Church more than 40 years, and formerly served on the church council. Bobby especially enjoyed traveling.
Loving survivors include Mary, his wife of 50 years; two sons, Keith Hahn of Sedgewickville, Kyle Hahn and wife Ann of Marble Hill, Mo.; a daughter, Kathy Forshee and husband Gary of Barnhart, Mo.; his mother, Una of Sedgewickville; and five grandchildren, Bobbi Jo Hahn, Kyla and Josh Hahn, and Kate and Garrett Forshee.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry, in 1982.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
The funeral will be at noon Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Albert Nyland and Elijah Allen officiating. Interment will be in Sedgewickville Cemetery with graveside military honors.
