ADVANCE, Mo. -- Bobby "Buck" Kenneth Carlton, 86, of Advance passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 26, 1932, at Toga, Missouri, the son of Austin and Christina Livers Carlton.
Buck worked for Operators Engineer Local No. 513 for 20 years. He was a 1952 graduate of Advance High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. Buck was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5900 and Marble Hill Eagles of Advance.
Buck was known by everyone and had more friends than you could count.
Buck and Rachel Scowden were united in marriage Feb. 19, 1984, in New Orleans, and she survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Kenneth (Teresa) Carlton of Advance; a daughter, Kristi (Larry) Robins of Advance; a stepson, Rodney (Lisa) Mouser of Marble Hill, Missouri; a sister, Beverly Carlton Richards of Valmeyer, Illinois; six grandchildren, Amber Spicer, Autumn Carlton, Austin Carlton, Jake Mouser, Chase Robins and Dakota Robins; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Lance Carlton.
A graveside service will be held at noon today at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
