EAST CAPE GIRARDEAU, Ill. -- Bobbie Jean Pearce, 84, of East Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at Monticello House in Jackson.

She was born Dec. 29, 1925, in Anna, Ill., to Ted and Nona Tweedy Wilson. She and Clyde "Bud" Pearce Jr. were married March 11, 1944, in Blytheville, Ark. He died July 23, 1995.

Bobbie was a graduate of Wolf Lake High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, James "Gus" and Rose Lingle of East Cape Girardeau; nieces and nephews, Maureen Westrich and children of Cape Girardeau, Jacquelyn and Richard Ainsworth and children of Jackson, Brian and Rebecca Lingle and sons of Washington, Mo., Jeremy Lingle and Matthew Lingle of Cape Girardeau, Rebeckah Lingle of St. Louis, Mark Johnson of Thebes, Ill., Candy Waterman, Angela Ratliff and Lance Ratliff, all of Cape Girardeau; and a special family friend, Bobbie Woodard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son, David Pearce Sept. 15, 2010.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with John Schneider officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery in McClure, Ill.

Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of choice.
