OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Bobbie D. Etherton, 79, of Olive Branch died Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, at Jonesboro Rehab and Healthcare Center in Jonesboro, Ill.
He was born Feb. 3, 1928, in Gary, Ind., son of Fred and Mary Irene Boucher Etherton.
Etherton was a retired floor tile setter and a member of McClure American Legion Post.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include four daughters, Lenore Espinosa of Merrillville, Ind., Barbara Nemeth and Cheryl Palmateer of New Port Richey, Fla., Patricia Apple of Valparaiso, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Mound City National Cemetery, with the Rev. Wiley D. Godfrey officiating. Military honors will be presented by members of Pulaski County VFW Post 8891 of Mounds, Ill., American Legion Post 178l of Villa Ridge, Ill., and VFW Post 2649 of Cairo, Ill.
Jones Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
