BELL CITY -- B.K. "Bob" Surface, 72, of Dallas, Ga., died Thursday, April 15, 1999, at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Ga.
He was born May 15, 1926, at Bell City, son of Jake and Lillian Surface. He and Victoria Lynn were married Nov. 10, 1963, at Vanduser.
Surface had lived in Dallas 12 years. He retired as a truck driver with Heckert's Trucking of Bertrand.
Survivors include his wife; six sons, Lee Bowles of Florence, Ala., Keith Surface of Dallas, Steve, Doyle and Duane Surface, all of Plant City, Fla., Edwin "Keith" Bowles of Dallas; five daughters, Bermalee Surface of Plant City, Brenda Angell and Dorothy Bowles of Dallas, Agatha Varnadore of Sikeston, Molly Stidham of Bertrand; a brother, Harold Surface of Bell City; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from 5-8 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Glynn Robinson officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
