Bob Stevener

MATTHEWS, Mo. -- Robert E. "Bob" Stevener, 70, of Matthews died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 19, 1934, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., son of Wilfred E. and Amelia A. Stevener. He and Paula Jean Siars were married Feb. 18, 1984.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. Stevener was a member of the American Legion Post in Sikeston.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Lynda Fier of Benton, Ark., Cynthia Young of Atlanta, Ga., Sandra Covington of Ward, Ark.; a sister, Beverly Pickrell of West Lake Village, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral will be at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo., at a later date.
