Robert "Bob" Finley Joyce II, 72, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019, at his home.
He was born April 18, 1946, in Cape Girardeau to Robert F. and Jeanette DuBois Joyce. He and Sharon King were married Dec. 29, 1995, in Jackson. Sharon survives.
Bob graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1964. He attended Southeast Missouri State University and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1970. He returned to Jackson, where he worked at Lenco, and Rapco and retired from the City of Jackson water distribution facility and power plant.
Bob was a loving husband and father, an avid reader and audiophile, car enthusiast and jokester. He always had a funny story and a laugh to share.
Loving survivors include his wife, Sharon Joyce; his son, Robert I. (Terri) Joyce, and their son, Ian; five sisters, Karen Mattingly, Kathy Rodgers, Rita (Randy) Johnson, Laura (David) Hulcy and Melissa (Chip) Haring; stepson, Donny (Rebecca) Jacobs, and their three daughters, Taylor, Carlie and Molly; and 15 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson with funeral immediately following. The Rev. Sam Roethemeyer will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
