BOB JOY

PERRYVILLE -- Robert J. "Bob" Joy, 70, of Perryville died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur.

He was born Oct. 1, 1927, in St. Louis, son of Ernie L. and Rosa E. Ditterline Joy. He and Jean Elizabeth Chase were married July 7, 1990.

Joy was retired from McDonnell Douglas. He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Machinist Union in St. Louis, and was an amateur ham radio operator.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Billy Joy of Ellsinore; three sisters, Barbara Neislein, Ella Rellergert and Patsy Kaempfe, all of Perryville.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, and Monday from 6:30-11:10 a.m. A wake will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Gerry Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
