CHARLESTON -- Bob Howard, 81, of Charleston, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 2, 1911, in Halls, Tenn., son of Russ and Rebecca DuPree Howard. He married Ardessie Kirkwood Feb. 4, 1939. She died June 29, 1982.
Howard had lived in Missouri since 1934. He was a member and past trustee of Bethlehem Baptist Church here.
Survivors include a son, Bobby Howard of Bloomington, Ill.; seven daughters, Vastie Smith of Cairo, Ill., Snowdie Farrar and Glenda Shockley of Cape Girardeau, Rosetta Howard and Cinderretha Jackson of Bloomington, Lendia Smith and Bobbie Howard of Charleston; 33 grandchildren, and 55 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Shiloh Baptist Church. The Rev. J.L. Posey will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home from 7-8 tonight.
