SIKESTON -- Robert W. "Bob" Florence, 70, of Sikeston died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born July 8, 1929, in Camden, Tenn., son of Robert and Minnie Smothers Florence.

He and Dorothy Crawford were married on April 12, 1948, in East Prairie.

He had been a self-employed farmer.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Laura Tune of Alton, Ann Venable of Sikeston and Elizabeth Malloy of Bernie; one brother, James Florence of East Prairie; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Dolan Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
