Robert Lee Cannon, 81, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 2022, at Lutheran Home, following a lengthy illness. He was born to Charles and Alice LaBruyere Cannon on Feb. 1, 1941, in Cape Girardeau. He and Karen Anne Lange were married Friday, Oct. 13, 1967, in Cape Girardeau and had recently celebrated their 55th anniversary. They have one son, Justin Corey Cannon of Cape Girardeau...

Robert Lee Cannon, 81, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Nov. 7, 2022, at Lutheran Home, following a lengthy illness.

He was born to Charles and Alice LaBruyere Cannon on Feb. 1, 1941, in Cape Girardeau. He and Karen Anne Lange were married Friday, Oct. 13, 1967, in Cape Girardeau and had recently celebrated their 55th anniversary. They have one son, Justin Corey Cannon of Cape Girardeau.

Bob graduated from College High School in 1959. He joined the Army in 1963 and was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. Bob was a firefighter for the City of Cape Girardeau, and worked at Square Post Buildings in Chaffee, Missouri, based out of Fairfield, Illinois. Bob then worked at Jim Wilson Co. for many years.

Bob is survived by his wife, Karen; son, Justin; and brother, Charles Ray Cannon.

He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother, Francis Cannon.

There was a private graveside service at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Southeast Missouri Pets.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
