Blake Baxter Crowson, 18, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, April 29, 2020, after suffering fatal injuries in a car crash.
He was born Dec. 19, 2001, in Osage Beach, Missouri, to Ronnie B. Jr. and Tamatha J. McIntosh Crowson.
He was a 2020 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School.
Blake was a talented and passionate percussionist and a member of the Cape Central Marching Tigers, Shadow Drum and Bugle Corps of Oregon, Wisconsin, and Freedom Percussion of St. Charles Missouri. He was an A student and had plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University in the fall of 2020.
Blake was a joy and a light to his family, friends, teachers, co-workers and band directors, and his smile could light up a room. His presence will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his mother, Tamatha J. Crowson of Cape Girardeau; father, Ronnie B. Crowson Jr. of Pearl, Mississippi; brother, Evan Crowson of Cape Girardeau; maternal grandmother, Laurie Thompson of Camdenton, Missouri; maternal grandfather, Toby McIntosh of Vero Beach, Florida; and paternal grandfather, Ronnie B. Crowson Sr. of Pearl.
A memorial will be from 3 to 7 p.m. May 16 at The Water's Edge.
