LONGTOWN, Mo. -- Blaine Adelman Sr., 66, of Longtown died Thursday, June 15, 2000, at Ste. Genevieve County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Dec. 23, 1933, in New Jersey, son of John and Phyllis Fredericks Adelman. He and Lois Simmerman were married Dec. 22, 1983.
Adelman owned and operated Starlight Tavern in Jackson. He was a member of American Legion Post 133.
He served with the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Blaine Adelman Jr. of Perryville, John Adelman of Longtown, Allan Adelman of Ringwood, N.J.; his mother, Phyllis Rup of Longtown; two brothers, Jack Adelman of Perryville, Fred Adelman of New Jersey; two sisters, Lois Gonzales of Pennsylvania, Sheila Robertson of Florida; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and a great-grandson.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate. Interment will be in Home Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 9 a.m. until service time.
