EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Birdie Mae Williams, 96, of East Prairie died Monday, April 19, 2004, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.
She was born Dec. 27, 1907, in East Prairie, daughter of Harry and Effie Roach Zook. She and Gough Williams were married June 25, 1925. He died Feb. 24, 1974.
Williams was a member of Full Gospel Church.
Survivors include three sons, Willie Williams of East Prairie, Finley Williams of Sikeston, Mo., Alton Williams of Neosho, Mo.; two daughters, Betty McGill of East Prairie, Judy Garrett of Sikeston; 30 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five sons, three brothers and a sister.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Mike Johnson and Helen Kersey will officiate. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
