BILLY W. ELLIOTT

ANNA, Ill. -- Billy Wayne Elliot, 72, of New Baden, Ill., died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 1995, at the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna.

He was born Dec. 30, 1922, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Harry and Bertha A. Kieson Elliott. He married Mary Ellen McGrath June 20, 1953.

He served in the U.S. Air Force as a lieutenant in the 53rd Aero Squadron.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, David Elliott of Santa Clara, Calif., Paul Elliott of Louisville, Ky., and Jamie Elliott of Aloha, Ore.; two daughters, Michelle Elliott of Smithton, Ill., and Karen Wilkins of New Baden; one sister, Betty Huxford of Las Vegas, Nev.; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

A private memorial service will be held in New Baden. Crain Funeral Home of Anna is in charge of arrangements.
