MORLEY -- Billy Duane Sadler, 75, formerly of Morley, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998, at Miner Nursing Center in Miner. He was born Aug. 15, 1923, at Benton, son of Clyde and Lula Mitchell Sadler. Sadler had been a surveyor with Missouri State Highway Department, and later was a self-employed small engine repair mechanic. MORLEY -- Billy Duane Sadler, 75, formerly of Morley, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998, at Miner Nursing Center in Miner.

He was born Aug. 15, 1923, at Benton, son of Clyde and Lula Mitchell Sadler.

Sadler had been a surveyor with Missouri State Highway Department, and later was a self-employed small engine repair mechanic. He was a member of Morley Baptist Church, and Disabled American Veterans.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and participated in the Battle of the Bulge.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Sadler of Oran, Gary and Steve Sadler of Morley; two daughters, Barbara Carpenter of Blodgett, Brenda James of Miner; a brother, Glen Sadler of Flint, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Don Russell officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
