Billy Ray Kimbel, 73, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 29, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, son of William E. and Mary Elizabeth Miller Kimbel. Billy was a custodian for Cape Girardeau public schools. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Jackson.
Survivors include four sisters, Judy (Carl) Ehlers and Charlotte Dow of Cape Girardeau, Joyce (Ken) Barrett of Gordonville and Suzy (Carroll) Waldo of Birmingham, Ala.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until time of service Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Kenny Harper officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
