EAST PRAIRIE -- Billy Ray Turner, 48, East Prairie Route 1, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 1994, at Poplar Bluff.
He was born June 13, 1946, in East Prairie, son of John Shelby and Martha E. Northcutt Turner. He and Karen Marie Bridges were married Nov. 3, 1974, in East Prairie.
Turner was a self-employed carpenter, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Steven Turner of Lebanon, Tenn., Billy Jr., Mark and David Turner of the home; two daughters, Teresa and Brandy Turner of the home; two brothers, Willard Turner of East Prairie, Wayne Turner of Chaffee; four sisters, Shirley Wink of Chaffee, Ruth Parker of Cottondale, Fla., Dorothy O'Dell of Parma, and Ada Smith of Hobart, Ind., and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerry Chaney officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
