Billy Ray Sawyer, 67, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Nov. 10, 1995, at Deal Nursing Home in Jackson.
He was born Aug. 19, 1928, in Oak Ridge, son of Earl C. and Gladys A. Amos Sawyer.
Sawyer was a union electrician. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1 in St. Louis, and Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Rodney Sawyer of Jackson; three daughters, Marka Heavin of Mt. Airy, N.C., Pamela Burkhead and Pennie Johnston of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a brother, Earl Sawyer of Alaska; a sister, Mary Seabaugh of Belleview, and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 6-8 p.m. today and Sunday from 9 a.m. to service time.
Funeral service will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Jim Despain officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
