Billy Lee Graviett, 68, of rural Oran, died Saturday, Oct. 25, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born July, 25, 1929, in Oran, the son of Clarence Lee and Mary Lou Evans Graviett. He married Marietta Pobst on May 11, 1948, in Oran.

Graviett was a farmer and a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran.

In addition to his wife, survivors are three sons, Richard Graviett of Chaffee, Robert Graviett of Oran and Alan Graviett of North Richland Hills, Texas; four daughters, Linda Wheeler and Paula Bouge, both of Oran, Marilyn Proffer of Cape Girardeau and Mary Lou Dell of Morley; two brothers, Thomas Graviett of Oran and Max Alton Graviett of Sikeston; two sisters, Lucille Stigall of San Antonio and Eloise Roth of Cape Girardeau; and 24 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Parish prayers will be held at 7.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Guardian Angel Catholic Church, with the Rev. Lewis Hejna officiating. Burial will take place in the Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery in Oran.
