BILLY JOE WEST

CYPRESS, Ill. -- Billy Joe West, 66, of Elmwood, Ill., formerly of Cypress, died Saturday, July 24, 1993 at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Danville, Ill.

He was born Feb. 24, 1927 at Cypress, the son of Joseph Fiffer and Stella Edith Turner West.

He is survived by two daughters, Ellen Huddleston and Donna Mohnen, both of Elmwood; two brothers, the Rev. Lowell West, Cypress, Bobby West Metropolis; four sisters, Bethella Shelton, Jonesboro, Imogene Miller, Peoria, Betty Fanning, Whitehall, Ill., Mary Edith Hemphill, Louisville, Ms.; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Theda West, one grandchild, one brother and three sisters.

Graveside funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Masonic Cemetery at Cypress with the Rev. Robert Stubblefield officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Carroll P. Foster Post 3455 of the VFW. Burial will follow.
