SIKESTON -- Billy Joe McClain, 55, of Sikeston, died Friday, Oct. 15, 1993, at Miner Nursing Center.

He was born July 2, 1938, in Mississippi County, son of Semon and Florace Hunter McClain.

McClain lived in Mississippi County most of his life. He was a heavy equipment operator with Potashnick.

Survivors include a son, Jason McClain of Lebanon; four brothers, Durward McClain of Springfield, Ohio, Hubert McClain of Orange Park, Fla., Larry McClain of Sikeston, Hunter McClain of Morehouse; three sisters, Ruth Byrn of Springfield, Ill., Millie Carr of Doe Run, Topsy Blakeman of Ashland, Ill., and two grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at McMikle Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dariel Hodge will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5:30 p.m. today.
