BILLY GOINS

KARNAK, Ill. -- Billy N. Goins, 71, of Karnak died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1998, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.

He was the son of Stewart and Ruth Stevens Goins. He married Bertha Jo Teitloff.

Goins was retired from Trunkline Gas Co. in Joppa. He was a member of Belknap Masonic Lodge 822, Vienna Beggs and Gurley VFW Post 5222, and Metropolis American Legion Post. He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, David Goins of Metropolis; two sisters, Millie Sexton of Karnak, Dorothy Steele of Elgin; a brother, Stewart Goins of Karnak; seven grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and two stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, and four brothers.

Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak from 6-9 p.m. today. Masonic service will be held at 7.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Louis Brinker officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Grand Chain, with graveside rites by Metropolis American Legion.
