ADVANCE, Mo.-- Billy Lee Allison, 78, of Advance died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 22, 1928, at Kennett, Mo., son of Arthur and Pearl Clay Allison. He and Marie Jones were married Dec. 6, 1959, in St. Louis.
Allison retired from the railroad, where he was a mail handler at Union Station terminal in St. Louis.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife; eight sons, Steven Allison of Herrin, Ill., Bobby and Tim Hill and Mark Allison, all of Advance, Billy Allison of Palmer, Alaska, Samuel and Ricky Allison of Park Hills, Mo., Terry Hill of Jackson; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and a sister.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. LeeRoy Hefner officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
