Billie Ward

Billie Louise Muir Ward, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Nov. 23, 2006, at her home after a short fight with cancer.

She was born Dec. 8, 1918, in Cleburne, Texas, daughter of William and Louise Muir. She graduated from Central Methodist College and was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include two children, Dr. Jay Ward of Columbia, Mo., Deborah Haseltine of Memphis, Tenn.; three grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and her husband, Dr. Joe Ward.

Services were held Nov. 24 at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbia, with the Rev. Jeff Long officiating.
