Billie Sue McCann, 88, of Cape Girardeau passed away Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Sept. 15, 1929, in Osceola, Arkansas, to the late William N. Thomas and Percy Word Thomas.
Billie Sue attended Arkansas State University and worked for Dr. Donald Edwards for 10 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include three sons, Larry McCann of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Patrick (Deborah) McCann of Cape Girardeau and David (Shelly) McCann of O'Fallon, Illinois; daughter, Susan (Tom) Enklemann of Spring, Texas; brother, Jack W. Thomas of Osceola; eight grandchildren, David A. McCann Jr., Katheryn Stricker, Whitney McCann, Luke A. McCann, Mollie Hudson, Louis Enklemann, Hanna Enklemann and Benjamin Enklemann; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter-in-law, Vickie McCann.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Francisco Gordillo officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or SEMO Food Bank.
