BILLIE J. REEVES

EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Billie Jean Reeves of East Prairie will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Ted Wimberley will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park.

Reeves, 62, died Wednesday, May 6, 1992, at her home.

She was born Oct. 19, 1929, at Chaffee, daughter of Levan and Nadine O. Pope Lavan. She married Billy M. Reeves July 4, 1948.

Reeves was manager of Prairie Groves Apartments, and co-owner and operator of Reeves Real Estate and Tax Services here many years.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Nada Scruggs of East Prairie, Melissa Simmons of Federal Way, Wash., and three grandchildren.
