Billie Greer

Billie Jean Greer, 71, of Los Angeles died Friday, Sept. 15, 2006, at Mission Community Hospital in Panorama City, Calif.

He was born Oct. 27, 1934, in Cape Girardeau, son of Webster C. and Leathea Mary Wilkinson-Doss Greer.

Greer retired as a senior electronic technician with the space science industry in Southern California.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Survivors include a son, William Greer of Simi Valley, Calif.; a daughter, Janet Bader of Hesperia, Calif.; two sisters, Lois Canady of Detroit, Mich., Wanda Gilbert of Gladstone, Mo.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo.

The funeral will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kenneth Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in New Trace Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at Glenallen, Mo., with full military honors.
