SIKESTON, Mo. -- Willa Marie "Billie" Bohannon, 88, of Sikeston died Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born on Jan. 5, 1927, in Kelso, Missouri, to the late Nicholas and Mary Mirgeaux Menz, she had been employed as a nurse aide at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
She married William L. Bohannon Jr. on Nov. 16, 1946, in Sikeston. He preceded her in death Aug. 30, 2002.
Survivors include a son, John S. Bohannon of Sikeston; a daughter, Terry Hutchison of Scott City; a sister, Marjorie Littleton of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Phillip Bohannon of Bloomfield, Missouri, Justin Bohannon of Sikeston, Ben Bohannon of Houston and Karen Bohannon Johnson of Flat Rock, North Carolina; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Bohannon; five brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
The funeral Mass will be at noon Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Church, with the Rev. Patrick Nwokoye serving as celebrant. Interment will be in Garden of Memories.
