TAMMS, Ill. -- Funeral for James William "Bill" Wilson of Tamms Route 1 will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms. Jay Franklin will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery near Dongola, Ill.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Wilson, 65, died Monday, July 24, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
He was born Dec. 22, 1934, in Sandusky, Ill., son of Alvin Charles and Ellen Hattie Holmes Wilson.
Wilson retired in 1991 as a mechanic with American Airlines in Denton, Texas.
Survivors include a son, Ray Wilson of Denton; a daughter, Wendy Tellor of Hallsville, Texas; a brother, Guy Wilson of Roxana, Ill.; six sisters, Paula Jackson of Carpentersville, Ill., Mary Anderson and Pam Lose of Elgin, Ill., Neta Whitley of Camden, Tenn., Leta Stanford of Jackson, Ky., Carol Williams of Aurora, Ill.; and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
