KARNAK, Ill. -- Funeral for William "Bill" Sauerbrunn of Karnak will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home. The Rev. Alvin Thomas will officiate, with burial in Masonic Cemetery at Grand Chain.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Sauerbrunn, 81, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2000, at Magnolia Manor Care Center in Metropolis.
He was born April 30, 1918, in Olmsted, son of William and Lora Duerckheimor Sauerbrunn. He married Ruby Block.
Sauerbrunn retired from Main Brothers Box and Lumber Co.
Survivors include a daughter, Dixie Cameron of Marseilles; two brothers, Tom Sauerbrunn of Olmsted, Cecil Sauerbrunn of Oak Ridge, Mo.; two sisters, Frieda Shafer of Marion, Wilma Bailey of Galesburg; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, and three brothers.
