SIKESTON -- Funeral for William Robert "Bill" Marsh of Sikeston will be held at 11 a.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home. Dr. Jim Davis and the Rev. Rick Lasley will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Marsh, 76, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born April 21, 1922, in Charleston, son of Ray and Ola Able Marsh. He and Eloise Sanders were married March 6, 1946.
Marsh retired as an agent with Metropolitan Insurance Co. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Sikeston Masonic Lodge, Order of Eastern Star, and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He served in Japan during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, William Marsh II of Salem, Ill., Michael Marsh of Sikeston; a daughter, Pamela Burton of Sikeston; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
