MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Bill Headrick passed away Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020 at his home, which was his wish. He had battled cancer since January. He was born May 3, 1946, to Clarence and Stella Miller Headrick.
Bill worked on tow boats most of his life. He worked for Wisconsin Barge Line, Inland Oil and Luhr Bros, and he loved it. He liked to work on vehicles and taught his younger brother a lot, and his sister some too.
He and Vicki Medley married in 1968 and remain friends.
He is survived by his sons, Quinton "Billy" Headrick Jr. of Bonne Terre, Missouri, and Mark Headrick of Allenville; daughters, Tracy Medley, Sandy (Johnnie) Patterson and Misty Headrick of Cape Girardeau and Martha Medley of Jonesboro, Illinois; 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brother, Jimmy Headrick; sister, Mary Golden; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
B;ill was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Marsha Brown; two grandchildren; brother, Butch; and sister, Janet.
A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, at Allenville Baptist Church in Allenville, officiated by Brother Jerry Respondek.
The family extends special thanks to Visiting Nurse Association nursing staff (Ali and Stephanie) and VNA Hospice staff, especially Michael and Rita! They became family and their kindness and friendship will be cherished. Their help during this difficult time has been immeasurable.
