William "Bill" Finley, 69, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born Oct. 7, 1931, at Randles, Mo., son of Thomas Richard and Mary Jane Husk Finley. He and Lorene Walton were married Sept. 4, 1948, in Piggott, Ark.
Finley was a taxi driver with Nip Kelley 14 years and worked 10 years in construction in Cape Girardeau, Sikeston and Jackson, Mo.
Survivors include two sons, Danny and Kenneth Finley of Chaffee, Mo.; a daughter, Carolyn Messan of St. Louis; a brother, Tom Finley of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Dolly Jenkins of Dexter, Mo., Christine Slinkard of Oak Ridge, Mo.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Revs. Cy Smith and Lee Roy Quinn officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
