Bill East

William R. "Bill" East, 64, of Brunswick, Ohio, formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012.

He was born Feb. 18, 1948, in Cape Girardeau, to the late John J. and Dorothy Sue Ladd East Jr. He was a 1966 graduate of Central High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University.

Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the late 1960s.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 41 years, Judy; loving daughter, Heather (Robert) Tenney; treasured grandchildren, Amber Rose and Robert William "Buddy"; brothers, John (Debbie), Rick (Becky), Stephen (Becky); sisters, Barbara (Kevin) Glueck, Karen (Brad) Altenthal, Mary (Keith) Boeller; sister in law, Pam; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Roger and David.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 3300 Center Road in Brunswick.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Road in Brunswick, with visitation an hour prior at the church. The Rev. Bob Wenz will officiate. Interment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
