William Franklin "Bill" Carroll, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 15, 1925, near Chaffee, Mo., son of Louis and Pearl Carroll.
Carroll was a veteran of World War II, serving as a sergeant in the U.S. Army.
He was employed in the garment industry for 25 years at Ralph Edwards Sportswear. He worked for Procter & Gamble more than 10 years, retiring in May 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Carroll; a son, Daniel Louis Carroll and wife Cindy of Kennett, Mo.; two grandsons, Brian and Dustin Carroll; and four granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mike Huffman officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery with military rites conducted by Missouri Honors Team.
